Brown & Blue

A rainy, muddy, cold day.

What colors could fit the weather more perfectly?

My husband and I are on the hunt for a new sofa. Most of the contenders are sectional-style with huge pillows lining the back. Of course the pillows that come with the couches in our price range are heinous. Therefore I am now adding decorative pillow fabric to that hunting list.  Here’s a collection of fabrics that I like. They are all from Lewis & Sheron Fabrics. I’m being super lazy and not titling each style.

I’m in love with Happy Poppies, third row down on the left. I’ve been wanting to use that fabric forever.

Per usual, I’m jumping 10 projects ahead of myself, so the pillows will most likely stay the heinous store-model colors for about 65 weeks (my typical lead time). Anyway, I may or may not post pictures when it’s complete; 65 weeks from now is an awful long time. I mean, the world’s going to end in about 48 weeks anyway. If the Mayans were right, pillows will so not be a concern of mine. I’ll most likely blog about post-apocalyptic food gathering, or how to built a lean-to with the maximum amount of Southern exposure, or what types of dead animal hides make the best bedding. Good thing tree-stump side tables & mounted antlers are so in style right now. I’m going to stop typing now.

Marbelized Fabric

Again with the getting-ready-for-vacation excuse for not putting together a thoughtful entry.

So instead I’ll just leave you with this fabric:

Yes please. I’ll take 1,000 yards. I want to drape myself, all my rooms and

the interior of my car with this.

I can’t express the extent of my love  in words.
